DimWater Engineering | An ammonium removal system for the Pierola Landfill (Barcelona)
The latest work of DimWater Engineering is an ammonium removal system for Ferrovial / Cespa in the Hostalets de Pierola Landfill (Barcelona). This system works as a previous stage to the treatment of leachates with a capacity of 80 m3/d, including the cleaning system (CIP), the detailed engineering, the electrical installation and the start-up of the equipment in the facilities. In addition, detailed training was provided so that plant operators can handle the equipment properly. An integral work under the concept of "turnkey". The equipment consists of a Stripping tower 10 meters high, 2 meters in diameter, and for a capacity of 30,000 liters, connected to a Scrubber tower of similar dimensions, where we capture the ammonium removed in the Stripping phase. All this manufactured by Dimasa Grupo in GRP, polyester reinforced with fiberglass, the material for which we have earned a reputation in the sector.
