In the case of biogas, they are used mainly for the elimination of H2S, siloxanes and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in the biogas. Its operation is simple and is based on physical-chemical processes, for which the current of the biogas is passed through a bed of activated carbon previously selected for the type of compound to be eliminated.
This equipment is manufactured in GRP and designed for a capacity of 2,050 kg. and it’s in use in the WWTP of Viveros de la Villa (Madrid) since 2014. This was a job for MWM, of the important Caterpillar business group.
